And in our very first attempt, we met this miracle. Becoming a mother… you only understand it when you live it. When those tiny hands touched my face, I felt something in my heart finally settle into place.
We were like a fruitless tree… Now our home has a voice, a scent, a joy.
What hurt us the most during this journey were the words people said without knowing anything. “It’s been a year or two, you’re late…” Late according to whom? By whose timeline?

Will I ever get to experience this feeling?” I felt unlucky because I didn’t have a child. You get married and suddenly everyone expects a baby from you. “Don’t you have a baby yet?” “When are you having a child?”questions that genuinely made me uncomfortable.
I have polycystic ovary syndrome, but thankfully I became pregnant on our very first attempt. The moment I heard that first heartbeat… it was the most beautiful sound I’ve ever heard. That day, a deep sense of hope and happiness grew inside me.
